Contemporary Paintings Modern

We sell oil paintings in contemporary paintings modern.

These are all hand painted canvas paintings by professional production artists from around the world. They will enhance your home by the fact that they are real oil paintings. They do not get left under glass as a "print" must and they don't fade as a print does. They are not a Giclée. Paint outlasts ink by hundreds of years. You will be happy to own one of these beautiful oils. They come shipped in a tube and you can have it stretched locally. Thank you for shopping at TwistedFrog.com.

Welcome to TwistedFrog.com, especially if you came from Art2HelpCharity.com . This is where we actually sell the paintings.

How to Choose Contemporary Paintings Modern

By Timothy Kuchar

There are several factors that one should consider and be aware of before buying contemporary paintings modern, things such as size, texture, color, frames, placement, theme, orientation, room decor, furniture, to name a few. We will cover these in the following paragraphs.

SIZE: If the wall is large and the painting is small, it will look out of place. If the painting is too large it will overwhelm the wall and the room. If it is too small it can also get lost.

TEXTURE: A good decorator will know if the texture is right for the room. An oil painting that is air brushed may not work in a room that is decorated with paintings of Van Gogh or Renoir. A painting with lots of texture and 3D effects may look OK in a room with contemporary paintings or paintings modern.

COLOR: Lots of reds in the painting in a room that has no warm colors may feel out of place. Pastels in a room filled with primary colors would probably seem a little out of place. Try to take a look at the room in your mind's eye and visualize how it would appear next to what else is in that room.

FRAMES: If you choose to frame the picture (not totally necessary as only 40% do so today) it would be wise to consider the type of furniture in the room as well as the color. The color of the frame also determines the colors in the picture that your eye sees as predominant. A light colored frame will emphasize the light colors in the picture and a dark frame (e.g. mahogany) will bring out the dark colors in the picture.

PLACEMENT: Here the decorator will excel. She/he will be able to see if the picture is too high or low. Also the decorator will be able to tell if it is centered between the two windows etc.

THEME: This falls in line with the type of furniture, the style of carpet and the colors of the room. If your theme is Victorian then a Salvador Daly probably would not fit in. If you are decorating around contemporary paintings then a Renoir may be out of place.

ORIENTATION: If the room is tall or you have vaulted ceilings you may want to consider hanging a portrait style painting. If the wall is wider than it is tall you may consider hanging contemporary paintings modern with a landscape orientation.

ROOM DECOR: This ties in with the paragraph on "theme" but can be considered on its own. If the decor is modern it is probably wise to stay away from Victorian and go with paintings modern. If the room is too dark you might consider a lighter type painting, if you want to lighten up the room.

FURNITURE: I personally like to stay somewhat in tune with the style of the furniture. If I'm decorating a room with antique furniture I won't use contemporary paintings. If the furniture is a dark wood then I try to keep the frame of the picture of a similar dark wood.

I hope this has given you something to consider and hopefully some good ideas to ponder. Thank you for reading this article and blog me with any comments.
